needs citations. re: it being the 2nd largest palace in europe after versailles, i was just in mannheim where they claim it is larger than versailles. http://www.clas.ufl.edu/users/hasty/mannheimpage/mannheimpage.html says: Much larger than the Palace at Versailles that inspired it, the Palace of Mannheim and the nearby palace at Schwetzingen are testimonies from the "Age of Absolutism" that followed upon the confessional conflict of the Reformation.70.48.6.107 06:04, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
