Untitled[edit]

I started this biographical page as I believe Margaret Simey to be a major figure in British equality rights for 20th century. All the major broadsheet newspapers ran obits on her, but I'm reluctant to use any of them as it might be construed as plagiarism, and my own knowledge of her relates largely to the contacts she had, while a teenager, with Elsie J. Oxenham - surely a transient and rather trivial thing to be the only reason for her appearance in Wikipedia, though not many people can claim to have been depicted as a minor character in her own right, with the book she appears in dedicated to her, and to have two major fictional characters in a series of nearly 40 books based on her!

Can't someone else come up with more details of her adult life?? Any Liverpudlians out there who could help??? --Abbeybufo 21:59, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know which political party she represented? It's very odd to have an article about someone who was apparently both a Peer and a councillor and not specify their party. The fact she was appointed by Wilson could mean she was a Labour Peer, but equally she could have been a cross-bencher. And again was she a Labour councillor or was she an Independent? It's really weird that it's not specified. 81.147.127.101 (talk) 22:32, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
