Maria is a very attractive woman. This picture makes her look like a Barnum clown. Unless this is meant with some sort of punk irony, I'd like to think we can do a little better. Jackbox1971 (talk) 02:36, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Backing vocals.[edit]

I don't have the details any longer, but I'm certain that McKee performed some backing vocals on one or two Texas albums. Gwladys24 (talk) 22:28, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LR (02.05.10) She sung backing vocals on their 1991 Mothers_Heaven album.

Maria did NOT sing backup on "Somewhere Down The Lazy River" on Robbie Robertson's self-titled solo album. I just happened to be looking at Maria's Wikipedia page, and this immediately caught my eye. As a big fan of both Robertson and the BoDeans, I felt pretty certain of my recollection that Sammy Llanas of the BoDeans (aka "Sammy BoDean"), with his very unusual voice, sang the counterpoint to Robertson on "River." My review of the Wik page on that album AND going back to the original liner notes confirmed my recollection. Maria sang backing vocals on the previous track, "American Roulette," along with the BoDeans. However, I'm relectant to just delete that section of Maria's bio here without giving someone else an opportunity to review. I'll check back in a couple of months for feedback. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomandkristi (talkcontribs) 10:22, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

LR (15.05.10) - Maria appeared in the VIDEO to "Somewhere Down the Lazy River" but didn't sing on the song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.28.254.19 (talk) 12:39, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Either way, in response to most of the above comments, the real trick is finding a reliable, third party source to verify the situation. I quote from the latter internal link's wording - "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—whether readers can check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether editors think it is true."

Re "A Good Heart"[edit]

I may be mistaken, but I'm under the impression that Tench's perspective on their relationship was provided in his song "You Little Thief" - which was also a hit for Feargal Sharkey. Gwladys24 (talk) 22:31, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Show Me Heaven" public performance[edit]

Here is a link to the second performance:

Other than this, google did not return any reliable sources for the Dublin Pride performance. She is listed in the 2008: “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride” performer lineup:

Almost all other references returned by google were copies of the Wikipedia article.
