Copyright violations[edit]

It appears that someone simply cut and pasted much of Gov. Parkinson's online bio from here to this page. I've stubbed the article, until someone with more time than I have can sort through the mess of copyvios here. Lithistman (talk) 16:54, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Parkinson (Kansas politician)Mark ParkinsonWP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Parkinson was lieutenant governor and governor of Kansas and is now CEO of American Health Care Association, in contrast to Mark Parkinson (Missouri politician) who has only served in his state's legislature. The Kansas governor has far more notability. Arbor to SJ (talk) 07:12, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. The Kansas politician get 95% of pageviews.[1] - Station1 (talk) 08:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. If they'd both just been state legislators, the current situation would be appropriate, since it would be a subjective "mine's more notable than yours because mine's the one I've heard of" debate as to which one really had stronger notability overall — and, in fact, the reason things are where they are is precisely because the articles were created at a time when they were both just state legislators. But the Kansas one went on to serve as governor of his state, so is clearly more notable now. Bearcat (talk) 16:46, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
