Wording, referencing, and neutrality issues[edit]

Hi, due to my being a new Wikipedia editor who lacks specific knowledge on this subject, I have chosen not to edit this page myself, but I felt I could contribute by pointing out that this article has what seems to me to be consistently non-encyclopedic wording, a lack of citations, as well as a lack of neutrality, especially in both subsections of the religous marriage section. For instance, 'Marriage has the greatest benefits over other social interests' is not cited, is made redundant by the following sentence (also not cited), and appears to be expressing an opinion. If the sentence were to be kept, perhaps it would be better phrased as 'Many Indonesian Muslims feel marriage offers great benefit to society', along with a citation? There are other examples of similar problems in the article, which I believe merit fixing by someone with the knowledge to do so, as marriage and religion are important social issues that I feel Wikipedia should avoid misrepresenting. Also, the lead appears to me to be overly short and to a minor degree lacking in neutrality. What do other editors think about this? Wetnmm (talk) 12:39, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
