I checked, and on the article on Ralph Lauren says he went elsewhere. Can someone check primary sources?

[I checked the article on Ralph Lauren and indeed it says he went to the MTA. It is however important that someone finds a source for this, perhaps an MTA yearbook or something, before it is posted.]

Can anyone verify that the Beastie Boys went to MTA? If not, this should be taken down. There is a legend that they did and everyone in the Modern Orthodox Jewish community knows a guy whose cousin was there with them (which is interesting considering no one has ever said that THEIR cousin was there with them.

Sheesh! No. The Beastie Boys did not go to MTA. It is rumored the Adam Horovitz may have gone to BTA - but that is likely not true either.

  • The Rumor about the Beastie Boys attending MTA began when one of their album covers contained the words "3MTA3". Some MTA students actually believed that this was a cryptic message that the 3 beastie boys went to MTA but had been expelled for eating at White Castle. 3MTA3 is actually just 'Eat me' backward, and I beleive that none of the Beastie Boys ever went to MTA. [Plus all of the Beastie Boys have Jewish sounding last names. These 2 things are probably where the rumor started from. Though it is possible still, again it must be checked up in an MTA yearbook or something before it is posted.]

BE PREPARED[edit]

This is a terrible article. A school like MTA deserves a much better article than this. I am tempted to erase the whole article. Be prepared for major revision.

AGREED[edit]

Right you are. I have added a little bit. YUHSB my ass! I went to the real YUHSB. Then again, why is there no article on BTA?

And not a word about Abe? Maybe it's better that way.

Scandal attribution[edit]

Right now the Jewish Week has in-text credit for a later detail of the story, but the Forward, who broke the story has none. This doesn't make much sense. -- Vonfraginoff (talk) 05:25, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
