Unreferenced[edit]

Some unreferenced content has been removed while adding inline references to reliable sources. There was a statement that sequence studies pointed to a divergence from the common ancestor in the Eocene but http://www.mapress.com/zootaxa/2009/f/zt02063p054.pdf , a 2009 paper says that "...The only subfamily excluded from our data matrix is the recently discovered Martialinae (Rabeling et al. 2008) for which the requisite sequence data are not yet available". So all this needs a reference and there are few reliable sources other than the original description paper. Links to newspaper websites have been removed.
