Untitled 1[edit]

There is an image of a no-prize envelope available here, could someone please upload it? TheCoolestDude 19:40, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled 2[edit]

"Although the No-Prize had been intended by Stan as a reminder for his readers to "lighten up" and read comics for pleasure rather than for prizes, they soon became very popular, and recipients of the No-Prize began to write Stan and ask him why they had not received a prize. In response, he began mailing empty envelopes that said "Congratulations, this envelope contains a genuine Marvel Comics No-Prize which you have just one!" to people who had received No-Prizes."

Is the spelling error (one) yours or Stan Lee's? Or is it intentional? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.100.200.14 (talk) 20:02, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More work needed[edit]

In the origin section I had never heard of the idea of other companies rewarding fans for detecting errors before. Is this true? If so it should probably be sourced. Also I added a few sentences about the nature of the no-prize. When I was reading Marvel comics the no-prize was not given out for discovering continuity errors but for explaining the errors away. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.167.71.152 (talk) 17:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Post-1991 No-Prizes[edit]

I can't recall the exact time period in which this was done, but for a while in the late 90's Stan Lee had a little 'question and answer' column in a revival of the Stan's Soapbox column (or it might have just been part of the Bullpen Bulletins at the time, I'm not entirely sure). Anyone whose question was published in this section received a No-Prize envelope. I'm not sure how to track down the specific time period or even citations as to establish it, but I know for a fact that it happened because I received a No-Prize envelope because of it.--MythicFox (talk) 17:14, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • So have I. Perhaps a scan of one of Stan's columns that has him saying "Dear So and so, you have won a No-Prize?" 71.203.66.120 (talk) 20:33, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

Shouldn't the page be called Marvel No-Prize since that the offical name?-Golem866 (talk) 16:39, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
