Theresa?[edit]

What's with the sentence on Chris Smith (EastEnders) that says he called her Theresa? Was that her name? (If it's any use, that's what her mum's name was in her book, is Edie a derivitive of Theresa?) -Trampikey^{(talk)(contribs)} 17:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i guess it must have been. It says here in the episode guide [1] that Mary told her father she goes by the name Mary now. Ive no idea why she changed it. I always assumed it was a derivative of Theresa. Maybe she just altered her name completely though to change her identity as she was running away from home. I'm not sure about Edie and Theresa, but i'm not very clued up about name derivatives. I was shocked to discover that Peggy was a derivative of Margaret, Morag for Sarah or Sandy for Alexander. Image[edit]

Shouldn't we use the image of Mary as she appeared earlier on in the soap in the infobox and maybe put the image we have of her in 2019 elsewhere in the article? After all, the image of her as she appeared earlier on is the main one that everyone will know her as. @5 albert square: Yes the main image should be from her regular time in the series, in fact some of the early promos have recently been published in news sources so we should use one of those instead of the screenshot. In fact, the early screenshot was replaced by the new promo, so that can just be replaced by an old promo with the same file name. — 🌼📽️Anemone Projectors💬 07:21, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is the 2019 image needed at all? It was a one episode appearance. There's a free image that could be added instead, with a caption mentioning that Davidson reprised the role in 2019. - JuneGloom07 Talk 15:50, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, we have this one on Commons that we could use. Alongwith the caption of something like "Davidson reprised the role for one episode in 2019 for the funeral of Harold Legg." Shall we just change it and delete the promotional image?-- 5 albert square (talk) 17:31, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
