This needs more attention... paternal age effect has many more sources. --RedHouse18 17:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed merger from Advanced maternal age[edit]

Both articles discuss the influence of a woman’s age on the risk of conferring a genetic defect to her offspring. The existing article for “Maternal Age Effect” is very limited. However I suggest that the title of the surviving article should be “Maternal Age Effect” for consistency’s sake to mirror “Paternal Age Effect” as there is no article titled “Advanced Paternal Age.” 69.2.87.205 (talk) 15:04, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that most of Advanced maternal age is not about the effect but the causes of giving birth at a later age. Other than the title, I support the merge, since this article is only 2 sentences and an image, if we don't count that paragraph that strayed here from Paternal age effect. – Alensha talk 22:40, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

very different article from Paternal age effect[edit]

Paternal_age_effect cites dozens of medical studies. This article hardly bothers. Why is this article so different?--Brian Dell (talk) 16:26, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
