Page Relocated[edit]

THIS TALK PAGE WAS ORIGINALLY LOACTED AT MATILDA OF SAXONY HOWEVER HAD TO BE MANUALLY MOVED. The Quill (talk) 18:12, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It didn't have to be manually moved. You've cocked up the process in your overenthusiasm... DBD 13:45, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well as far as I knew (at the time) that was was the only was too do it. I now know different so its a good job I didn't 'cock up' as you put it on Matilda of Englnad isn't it. Please try to be civil because to be frank it makes you sound like a complete knob. (irony is indented) The Quill (talk) 14:04, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way I Love the way you have please be civil on the top of your userpage. The Quill (talk) 14:06, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok fella, let's not overreact. "To cock something up" is not meant to be offensive — it's just a turn of phrase. I often type how I speak, so you'll find pieces of my dialect in there. Please, do refrain from being offended — I daresay if I were to be truly uncivil, you really would know about it... Compounding the problem through name-calling (even though I don't take much offence from "knob", seeing as I often use it in jovial conversation) is unhelpful. Having learned of your initial ignorance of the 'paedia's processes, I can of course forgive the manual moving — however, I still think that these Matilda moves and not as cut-and-dried as you may think. I should say a more thorough discussion is needed. I'll ask an admin to tidy up the page histories and then we'll discuss the moves post-hoc at WP:EROY. If you need any more help with learning about the way things work here, I could certainly help you out (I'm even seeking adoptees. Yours etc DBD 14:21, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of grave[edit]

The photo of the grave of Matilda and Henry the Lion looks like it has Otto IV engraved on the floor at its foot (their/his son). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.237.199.33 (talk) 05:44, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expedition to Normandy?[edit]

The text currently cites Panton regarding Henry the Lion’s refusal to aid Barbarossa in an “expedition to Normandy” in 1174. This is indeed what Panton wrote, but it appears to be an error. Other accounts state the expedition was against Lombardy. Ewilen (talk) 15:47, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
