Housing[edit]

I played in a band with your dad and uncle Jim. My question is. You have an empty school downtown. Why can’t you convert it to housing? 187.152.128.145 (talk) 11:45, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is the "talk" page for MP Matthew Green's Wikipedia page. Wikipedia is a resource that is edited by volunteer users all across the world. This page is not maintained by MP Green. If you want to get in touch with the MP directly, you should reach out to his office at matthew.green@parl.gc.ca. As an aside, if you're talking about Sir John A. MacDonald Secondary School, the property is presently owned by the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. The HWDSB is run by a board of elected trustees. The HWDSB trustees would have to dispense with the building, as a school board cannot provide housing. The federal government cannot force the sale of a publicly-held school, nor could an opposition MP unilaterally build housing on a site unless they were, in their private lives, a developer who owned that site. I suggest reading up on the division of powers in Canada on the Canadian federalism page. HamOntPoliFiend (talk) 23:07, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
