Regarding speedy deletion request[edit]

I don't have a huge stake in this, as I simply created this article from Wikipedia:Articles requested for more than a year. However, Slye did apparently win some awards for her work and I feel at least an assertion of notability has been made. I think AfD is a more appropriate place to take this article to determine its future. Movingboxes (talk) 06:26, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Slye has an article in Encyclopedia Britannica's Online Students edition (http://student.britannica.com/comptons/article-9341727/Maud-Slye) and was also the subject of a Newsweek article on April 10th, 1937. It doesn't seem to be archived anywhere, or I'd add stuff from that to the article. Movingboxes (talk) 06:32, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year uncertainty[edit]

There is uncertainty in the birth year of record. Census records indicate 1879, and other reports indicate 1869. There is mention that there was intentional misinformation regarding birth year due to the mandatory retirement age for the University of Chicago. Input is requested from the community for how to best deal with this situation.InfoDataMonger (talk) 00:11, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
