Observations and suggestions for improvements[edit]

The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following an expert review of the article within the Science, Technology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in July 2023.

Medical imaging definition: not only internal structures... please refer to FDA definition: Medical imaging refers to several different technologies that are used to view the human body in order to diagnose, monitor, or treat medical conditions.
Noninvasive: not all imaging techniques are not invasive...if radiation is involved, is invasive.
Also optical imaging has evolved (think about gastroscopy)
Not all images are interpreted by radiologists... cardiac ultrasound is interpreted by cardiologists, optical images in endoscopy by the relevant specialist, optical images of the skin by a dermatologist, and digital pathology images by a pathologist...
"In healthcare settings, hospitals have leveraged MONAI to enhance mammography reading by employing Deep learning models for breast density analysis. This approach reduces the waiting time for patients, allowing them to receive mammography results within 15 minutes. Consequently, clinicians save time, and patients experience shorter wait times. This advancement enables patients to engage in immediate discussions with their clinicians during the same appointment, facilitating prompt decision-making and discussion of next steps before leaving the facility.": do you have a reference to cite where this is described? I doubt this is really happening... also there is a problem of software certification as Medical Device before using these tools in clinical practice that should be addressed
