Article title?[edit]

I struggled with "and" vs. "&" based on consistency, house manual of style, etc. Should this article be moved to "Meier & Frank Delivery Depot" based on SJ's recent edits? --Another Believer (Talk) 15:00, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved it now. Nobody else expressed any opinion, and the NRHP listings for this and the Warehouse use an ampersand. (Even the NRHP plaque for the Warehouse uses one, as your photo shows.) I find nothing in the Wikipedia Manual of Style for article titles about avoiding ampersands. They are to be avoided in titles of articles about railroads, but I believe that was only because there are so many railroad companies with ampersands in their names, there was strong desire that titles of articles about them use a consistent format on that point. For various non-railway subjects, I don't see any inconsistency in using an ampersand in the title, and so if the official name uses one (as is the case here), there's no reason we shouldn't.
