Discovery?[edit]

According to the article on Frederick Cook, his expedition discovered the island in 1908. 71.163.96.225 (talk) 19:15, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it appears that Cook did discover the island and Stefansson later acknowledged that Cook likely discovered the island prior to his visit there in 1916.^[1]
