Article in draftspace[edit]

Hey Moondragon21 and @Bearcat:, I declined Draft:Melissa Lantsman on August 23, telling Colossus of Mankind to wait until election day. Just as I was about to accept their draft, I noticed this one had beat me to the punch! Guess we'll have to create a redirect from the draft (or wait and let it G13). Inconsistent wording fix[edit]

One part of the article says that Lantsman is lesbian, but the Personal life section says that she is gay. If I'm correct, a lesbian is a homosexual woman while the term gay refers to a homosexual person. I've fixed this inconsistent wording. Please don't cancel me on Twitter....

Lead: She is the first openly lesbian and first Jewish woman ever to be elected as a Conservative MP. Upon election of Pierre Poilievre as Conservative Leader, Pierre named Melissa one of two deputy leaders along with Edmonton MP Tim Uppal.

Personal life: Lantsman is openly gay and was married in 2017.

The sentence is about her status as an MP, so I think it's appropriate to say "She is the first ~~openly~~ lesbian and first Jewish woman ever to be elected as a Conservative MP."
