Delete?[edit]

Considering how horrible this guy was to a child for so many years, shouldn't the page be deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.215.114.241 (talk) 06:15, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No. "Being horrible" is not grounds for deletion of an article. Hitler, Mao, Stalin, were all horrible to people. Are you suggesting deleting them as well. Surely you know the aphorism, "Those who can't learn history's lessons are doomed to repeat them?" Now if this was all rumor and innuendo, not properly referenced, that would be grounds for deletion. Reliable sources[edit]

Someone cut a reference with the edit summary "This is a self-published website that promotes energy healing, talking with spirits, etc; not a reliable source"

Normally self-published sites, like genuine blogs, are not considered reliable enough to use. However, when someone is already notable, self-published sites, that offer someone's personal views, can be considered reliable in their coverage of that person's personal views. If there is a reason why someone's personal views merit coverage, self-published sites can be used. Morse is notable enough to be considered a mainstream person, even though he has goofball views. So covering his views from a goofball self-published site is not inappropriate, IMO. Geo Swan (talk) 20:36, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
