HPD Stables are out...[edit]

Came across this at the Chronicle: [1] The interesting part, aside from the mounted patrol being there, is it gives a bit more history of the park.

Since this article is in serious need of expansion, perhaps this could be incorporated somehow.--Hourick (talk) 20:19, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Size of the Park -- say what?[edit]

Giving the size of the park as 1,466 acres and 6 square kilometers is total confusion. Let it be known that I love the metric system as much as anyone, and probably much more so, but this feeble-minded country refuses to buy in. The main thing, though, is to be consistent: give us hectares and sq km if you want, or acres and sq miles, but mixing and matching the English system and the Metric system in one breath is pitiful. Moreover, even apart from the consistency issue, km is no doubt a very wrong choice in this case, anyway, because -- like it or not -- our beloved USA is *not* on the metric system, and we must respect the realities such as they are. Title[edit]

Should we move this page to Memorial Park (Houston). Disambiguating with commas is usually for neighborhoods. Parks are usually disambiguated by parentheses, no? ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:27, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
