Jaris

I don't see why there is a section on Jaris. Just because he joined Meretz? Lots of crooked folks belong to lots of crooked parties, but that hardly makes them significant parts of the histories or identities of these parties.

Merging this article with "Meretz-Yachad"

Meretz-Yachad is actually a continuation of Meretz rather than a new political party and the differences between the current party and the historical Meretz are minor (all MPs of Meretz-Yachad today were also MPs in the original Meretz save Yossi Beilin). Thus I beleive the two articles should be merged under "Meretz-Yachad" with the info of this article appearing under the history of Meretz-Yachad.

If no one disapproves of this notion I am planning on doing it in a few weeks and to redirect "Meretz" to "Meretz-Yachad". --Tal :) 09:51, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

As I see no opposition I will start the merge very soon. If anyone disagrees and has a good reason why not to merge the articles please tell me now via this talk page or the Meretz-Yachad talk page, to avoid an edit conflict, otherwise I will start the merge with no further discussion.Tal :) 10:46, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
