Relationship with Metro Bancorp?[edit]

Clearly, Metro Bank is not as independent as it claims - either that or they're using the same logo is a mere coincidence. What's the link here? Sslaxx (talk) 19:56, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Must admit I'd never noticed that. Why not put some text in saying that the logos are same/similar, and that the reason is unexplained? Somebody else may come along with an explanation later. AWhiteC (talk) 22:00, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Intresringly mymetrobank.com [1] has the following footnote "Metro Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Metro Bancorp, Inc. and is not affiliated with Metro Bank plc, Great Britain". I wonder who owns the copyright? --84.92.56.128 (talk) 08:30, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose not sure why Metrobank (Philippines) is at the full legal name not at WP:COMMONNAME? As to the space. Well yes most of the other banks are with a space, but not always consistent. It wouldn't be a big deal if (UK) was removed here, but alternatively if a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT was put in place instead of redirect to dab that would be of more benefit than removing the country. Comment – I created this article in 2010, and I think I added "(United Kingdom)" to the name because of the existence of MetroBank in the USA. I leave the choice to people who are more familiar with Wikipedia article naming than me. Wildfowl (talk) 22:18, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Share price is collapsing - down 28% at this moment - looking to raise capital.
