Tallest building[edit]

This tower is 250 m[edit]

The tower has been topped and is recorded to be 250m excluding the spire.

Removal of Height Info as per owner directive[edit]

The height has been edited out by an I.P. address which is connected to Federal Land, Inc. stating that there is a "company directive" from the Federal Land owners to omit the mention of the height but they emphasized that the building is indeed the highest in the Philippines. For reference purposes, I would like to point out the Wikipedia policy of WP:NOTCENSORED. I don't know why there is such directive to omit the height. Information provided before is incorrect and not from the Federal Land (owner), it could be from the hotel side but the data needs to be corrected. It is not correct that it is the tallest building in the country.

WP:NOTCENSORED specifically states.

Some organizations' rules or traditions call for secrecy with regard to certain information about them. Such restrictions do not apply to Wikipedia, because Wikipedia is not a member of those organizations; thus Wikipedia will not remove such information from articles if it is otherwise encyclopedic.

The italicized quote applies to the "directive". However as stated, Wikipedia is not under or bound to Federal Land Inc. and the information is encyclopedic and is important to skyscraper enthusiasts and the field of architecture in particular. Stating the height also supports the claim that the building is the highest in the Philippines. Leaving out the info out would prove the claim dubious.

Also the information in question has been previously published in Manila Times, a mainstream national broadsheet in the country. (Kritz, Ben (10 May 2017). "Grand Hyatt to be finished by year-end". If no such information has been given in a reliable source (e.g. An employee editing in the height; with or without the presence of a company directive against making such info public), it can be removed as per No original research policy and verification issues.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:49, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note that there has been some modifications in the design and that the roof height is 250. This excludes the crown and spire.

Done I updated the height of the building. Architectural plans rather than a news article is clearly more authoritative. As per the plans I corrected the spire height to 281.78m from 318m and the roof height as 250m. This seems to be consistent with the claim that the building is the highest in the Philippines.Hariboneagle927 (talk)
