Notability[edit]

Hello,

To be of any use, this page really should include information on why exactly these players are notable. Travelbird 12:25, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:Notability, anyone who has played a sport at the highest professional level is notable. --Kathy A. 22:33, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification on who to include[edit]

Actually, I may bring this whole subject up over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball, because it would be good to have a standard answer for all of the all-time rosters.

The intro to Florida Marlins all-time roster says the page is for people who have appeared in at least one game for the Marlins, as listed on mlb.com. Unfortunately, the mlb.com list includes anyone who has ever been on the 40-man roster, whether they appeared in a game or not. Should the people who have never appeared in a game be weeded out? --Kathy A. 22:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The concensus reached at Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball is that the all-time rosters should only include people who have played a game during the regular season. --Kathy A. 20:05, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Idea[edit]

How about a numerical all-time roster?-DANO- (talk) 21:03, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
