The article is inexact, the richest literary award in the world is the "Premio Planeta". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.219.41.100 (talk) 15:48, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 18 August 2021[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: moved to Michael Thomas (Man Gone Down author)

We have 4 editors (including the proposer) supporting a move to somewhere, with 1 editor proposing a merge, which is out of scope of this RM and in any case has attracted no support. Surprisingly, only one editor has proposed a new name, which is therefore the consensus per WP:RMNOMIN. (non-admin closure) Havelock Jones (talk) 17:01, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Thomas (author) → ? – Does not distinguish from Michael M. Thomas, and does not distinguish well from Mike Thomas (author). AllegedlyHuman (talk) 00:25, 18 August 2021 (UTC)— Relisting. Mdewman6 (talk) 19:10, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support in principle, but as we have no date of birth, Michael M. Thomas was also American and both are/were novelists, I have no idea what we could rename to. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:51, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nom. comment Michael Thomas (academic) also presents issues here. AllegedlyHuman (talk) 06:49, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge to Man Gone Down - I am not sure there is any information about this person other than the author of that (notable) book. A WP:BLP1E redirect to the book seems most appropriate to me. If there are additional sources, then a new title should be findable. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 21:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support some move per nom, Michael M. Thomas averages more views and because of a spike gets 7,043 views compared with 187[[1]] for this one. Even if a merge is done the edit history will still need to be moved to an appropriate title before this title can be redirected to the DAB. Crouch, Swale (talk) 06:43, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move to Michael Thomas (Man Gone Down author). Using the name of his most famous book seems the best option here, given that there aren't too many other clear disamniguators.  — Amakuru (talk) 21:20, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
