Stub article vs. Redirect vs. "Given Name" page?[edit]

Since "Michiru" is a very common given name (in Japan) and there are several other wikipedia articles about people named Michiru, I'm not sure the singer "Monday Michiru" is the best / most appropriate target for this redirect page. Today, I have converted this page from a redirect-to-Monday Michiru into a "Given Name" page with links to the various existing wikipedia articles about people named Michiru (including Monday Michiru).

Looking through the page's history and the current "what links here" list, it appears the original article (and all of the current "links to" references) were for the Air (series) visual novel character, Michiru. On 10 May 2007, an editor changed this article into a REDIRECT to Monday Michiru. This appears to mean the article about the (fictional) "Air" character, Michiru is now lost.

I know nothing about the Air series of visual novels and I do not know if this loss of the Michiru character's stub article was intentional or not. I hope someone with subject-matter knowledge will re-create the article if they feel it is appropriate / necessary. I will create a red link in the new given name page to indicate that this Michiru (Air series) article may need to be re-created (using the last pre-redirect text from 2007 May 10?). I see now the "lost" Michiru text seems to be duplicated in the "List of Air characters#Michiru" article so I will update this info on the given name page —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pugetbill (talkcontribs) 16:13, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
