Micro Disney ?[edit]

Was there not a previous line up, known as Micro-Disney ?

Giordai O'Laoghaire was a member for a while.

The reason that Microdisney disbanded was nothing to do with a lack of mainstream success. Cathal Coughlan couldn't give two fucks about "mainstream success", we're not talking about fucking Bono or the Manic Street Tossers here, pal. For your information, Coughlan has been consistently recording material (last album released in 2006) ever since Microdisney split up, NONE of which has had "mainstream success.

The reason that they disbanded was simply that Virgin, who they signed to in 1986, didn't know how to market them, basically because they weren't able to pigeonhole them - what were they? A pop band? A country band? A "new wave" band? A cabaret act? Faced with that it became increasingly difficult to get Virgin to support any new recordings, which was why they subsequently split up.

Once again, and for about the 100th time, "Singers Hampstead Home" was NOT an attack on Boy George, although it was a song about him. It was essentially a song about the tabloid vilification of George.

Yes the above is probably true. And no, "Hampstead" was not an attack on Boy George, as is fairly clear from the lyrics. StanPomeray (talk) 12:20, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
