GA Reassessment[edit]

The "Etymology" section borders on Singlish. The most obvious case being the last sentence "Due to increasing Chinese immigrants settling near ..." First sentence "This road got is name.." is definitely unidiomatic for an encyclopedia article.

In the 'Demise" section: The Japanese community was repatriated after the end of the Second World War, and for subsequent four years, no Japanese person was allowed entry into Singapore. Italics mine.

No response from the reviewer so am going to close this as Keep. The first concern seems to have been resolve and the section reads alright to me. I am not sure what change is being asked for in the demise section. Seeing no other major faults. AIRcorn (talk) 21:15, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
