Not done per MOS:ALBUM#Album ratings template, which says that the table shouldn't contain more than ten reviews. Armbrust The Homunculus 11:14, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I'm using this in the right way to reply but what you say it's true, the problem is that when I proposed the change there eight reviews, my proposal is supposed to be number nine. Fillondon (talk) 29 November 2013 (UTC)

In the "Critical Reception" category, Jim Faber is cited as music critic for the New York Times. Please change this to the New York Daily News. Jaegerkyle (talk) 21:48, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

 Done. Armbrust The Homunculus 11:14, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not going to begin to add all the sentences that are incorrect, or the words that are used improperly. Much of the article is improperly written. Please have someone with at least a high school equivalency of the English language re-read the article and clean it up. I'm not even a One Direction fan, but it's irritating and Wikipedia deserves better. Thanks.

I'd like to add the following text to the first paragraph in the 'Critical response' section:

Tim Sendra of allmusic gave the album 4 stars out of 5, saying that "anyone expecting there to be any kind of drop in quality, or early warnings that the group had begun their inevitable decline, will be happily surprised that not only does the album satisfy the established quota of thrilling modern pop tracks and uplifting ballads, but also introduces some interesting new directions". He praised the bold decision to evolve the band's sound, and its results, concluding that the record "ends up as another satisfying album that does everything a One D album should do and then some."

A few specific word usage and grammar corrections:

  • The word "likened" is used incorrectly in the second paragraph. It means "to compare", not "to like". That sentence would be better as follows: "Many critics praised the lyrical depth and musical composition on the album, as well as the group's level of involvement in the production process."
  • The word "more" should be taken out of this sentence: "Member Louis Tomlinson proclaimed that the album would have a more "rockier" sound to it than the band's previous releases."
  • I tried to fix the (bizarre) sentence, "Initial reaction, firstly, was positive, with many likening their lyrical depth and mature nature." , but it should probably just be removed since it has no citation. I guess it could cite the same reference (#4) as the very similar sentence in the second paragraph, but why have the same sentence twice in the article? But it's also saying something additional about "initial reactions", which I can't find any source for.

Crespodm (talk) 21:13, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Done. The last sentence you asked to be changed is strange. I have removed it, but the word "likening" has been misused again and the word "firtstly" is not necessary because "initial" and "first" mean the same thing. So if that was to go back in, it would have to be reworded. –anemoneprojectors– 10:18, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

Per WP:RS ("Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources, making sure that all majority and significant minority views that have appeared in those sources are covered"), WP:OR ("Wikipedia articles must not contain original research."), and WP:SUBJECTIVE ("articles should provide an overview of the common interpretations of a creative work, preferably with citations to notable individuals holding that interpretation. Verifiable public and scholarly critiques provide useful context for works of art."), you need genres sourced. It doesn't matter what other articles say about genre as bands change styles and you need to find appropriate ones per album. It also doesn't matter if other articles don't use citations, they will need them eventually. We don't use wikipedia as a source from other pages. If you can find sources, please add them. If not, refrain from adding uncited material about genre to articles. 123.136.111.197 (talk) 03:32, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
