With the exception of 'Bang!', all of the quotes in the 'Trademark quotes' section are generic and used by many play-by-play voices. Paulsen 01:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Age/College[edit]

This does not seem to match up: "born June 26, 1965" and "a 1983 graduate of Fordham University." That makes him 18 years old upon graduating college. If he were so prodigious to graduate that early, that would be article worthy. But, it seems as if one of the dates is wrong. (Perhaps he entered Fordham University in 1983, graduating in 1988?)—Twigboy 03:12, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have your Mike Breens confused. The broadcaster WAS born in 1961.

On tonight's (May 22) ESPN broadcast of the 2008 Playoffs, Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, they stated it was Mike Breen birthday, and he turned 52 years old. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 03:31, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, that's called a joke, sarcasm, I'm sure you've heard of it. People tease one another about their ages, making them older than they really are.

Source 6[edit]

Citation 6 takes you to a webpage that says Breen did radio in college where he coined the term "BANG" for radio broadcasts for men & women's basketball however Wikipedia says he yelled it from the stands as a fan. That is not on the webpage. I recommend mods fix this. Thanks. B1blazin (talk) 00:21, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
