Hello,

According to a book written by C M Klein and restated by Helen Joos Cichy:

Millervill was first settled by John Miller in the fall of 1866 and then followed by Johann Lorsung and Constant Cichy also in the fall of 1866. In 1868 Thomas Dobmeyer came from Barvaria and in 1880 purchased land from John Miller. In 1873 hs son moved to Millerville and started a mill in 1873-1874. In 1885 Ferdinand Dobmeyer took control of the mill. Millerville Townshio was orgainzed 11/23/1867.

The Township was named for John A Miller as a name sake----not Dobmeyer who came later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.20.163.38 (talk) 21:40, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
