Sorry I understand my ban is only connected to political issues, but now I understand that it also applies to sport. So I'll stop now.--Nado158 (talk) 21:28, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Iran-Argentina Match referee Error[edit]

At 57' Milorad Mažić did not give Iran a penalty. Replays show that there was not much contact with the ball. Another refereeing error. The referee apparently didn't spot the contact by Pablo Zabaleta on Ashkhan Dejagah, and the Iran attacker was understandably furious.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format.  NQ  talk 07:50, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

article focus[edit]

Most of this article is about 2 recent World Cup matches , it seems to be written by unhappy football fans, WP:UNDUE and WP:RECENT applies here. LibStar (talk) 16:50, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You would not be alone in that opinion. --VeryCrocker (talk) 07:49, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I shortened that section, as it was really WP:UNDUE. He refreed dozens of international games, and the article heavily focused on just two them. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:13, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The solution to WP:UNDUE isn't blanket removal. Yes I agree it's WP:UNDUE, but then expand other sections and take care of it that way. Don't just take an axe to sourced material and call it a "solution".99.225.150.245 (talk) 16:58, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It was not "blanket removal". I shortened the coverage of those two games, but I was careful not to remove any actually encyclopedic material. I removed excessive quoting and non-notable details. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:13, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

aguero incident with corner flag[edit]

Why is this even in the article? It is trivia at best. LibStar (talk) 16:53, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

the incident had no bearing on the game result. There are countless incidents in football where someone thinks a ref should have given a yellow card but didn't. LibStar (talk) 11:22, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it from the article as it was WP:UNDUE. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:13, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
