Fort Gibson[edit]

@User:Yuchitown The article says that he was born "on the Fort Gibson Indian reservation in Muskogee, Oklahoma". I'm seeing that there is a Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, but no reservation named Fort Gibson. Can you shed any light on which reservation this might be referring to? Thank you. @User:Yuchitown Davis was the son of Clifford Davis and Leola Haynes Davis. Davis said his father was Black & Muscogee while his mother was Black & Kiowa. There's a Clifford Davis listed on the Dawes Rolls as a Creek Freedmen, that may be his father but still looking for sources. I'm less familiar with Kiowa censuses/rolls.
