Update Article[edit]

This article is as of Monday, March 25, out of date. Some routes have changed, and some have been eliminated. I know because I'm a bus rider, and found out my 14 bus no longer is on the eastside, but rather downtown now, among other major changes.--Ben414 (talk) 02:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Cleanup Tag[edit]

I removed the cleanup tag that has been on the article since 2008. While it can still use improvement and expansion, there are now 10+ references (none before) plus an infobox. The organization scheme is also much better since the list of bus routes has been separated into a different article. Wantonlife (talk) 03:10, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

9000 bus series[edit]

Does anyone have any information about this particular series? Bus 9000 made its first appearance today on the Blue Line and there doesn't seem to be any information on it (possibly 5800 series renamed?) 148.8.23.48 (talk) 19:49, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Buses Currently Out of Service[edit]

Heard from an online community that Bus 5723 was in an accident in October 2019. As of Sep. 2020, it is not retired, but still at Fleet Maintenance receiving extensive body work . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jacobi Jackson (talkcontribs) 23:35, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The bus system was featured for hiring on Spectrum News Ch. 1. Noticed that the 5723 in the body shop. Had no idea that it was involved in an accident and heard nothing about it.

5316 was rear ended on Teutonia & Good Hope and seen on Ch. 12 News.

5601 had a fire at 27th & Fond du Lac not long before the COVID-19 Pandemic started. Seen on Ch. 12 News. EarlyBird89 (talk) 22:58, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As of September 13, 2020, the article has been updated to reflect that 5723 is out of service for the moment. Also, 5904 was seen operating on the GreenLine on September 13, but shortly after that it was seen operating on routes from Fond Du Lac, like routes 21, 22, and 60 where its usually assigned. Must have been at Kinnickinnic for just a day. Jacobi Jackson (talk) 21:09, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bus routes[edit]

Hi @Asher Heimermann:, I'm a bit confused regarding your position that bus routes should not be included. First, you cited WP:NOTTRAVEL, but I fail to see how bus route information violates that policy any more than much of the railway content on WP. Now you're saying the routes are not notable, but according to the "This page in a nutshell" box at WP:NOTABLE, notability only covers whether a topic should have its own article or not. These routes are part of a larger article. There are plenty of bus route lists that do have their own article, at Category:Lists of bus routes. Could you please clarify why you keep removing content? NemesisAT (talk) 19:09, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have been searching and found plenty of sources regarding these routes. So there is scope for sourcing to be improved. NemesisAT (talk) 19:26, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Based on these two deletion discussions where @Asher Heimermann: took a "take my toys and go home" approach to their articles being deleted, they should abstain from any further deletions and edit warring over this. The only objection I had in my deletion rationale is unsourced information, which NAT is clearly addressing with proper sourcing to the Biz Journal and not having it in an over-packed grid.Nate (chatter) 00:59, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New Gillig Buses and Nova BRT Buses[edit]

I believe the rest of the 6200 Gilligs assigned to the FDL Station are here, as I saw 6229 in the station August 3rd, 2022. I also heard that the Nova BRT buses will be numbered 1000-1014, I'm assuming to further distinguish them. 2600:1700:B0D2:2110:896C:9273:85EF:64C (talk) 02:02, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They are being stored at the Fond Du Lac station, but they will eventually be transferred to the Kinnickinnic station when they are ready for service.
