Article Expansion[edit]

Most of the article is very complete, however some awards are missing criteria. I tagged it for expansion because of this, if there's a better tag I don't know about then it should be switched. Julianmh (talk) 17:33, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I still have a vast amount of information to translate and add along with a good number of awards and pictures. Along with Russian Federationi awards I am also working on the awards of DPRK and Bulgaria. After which other nations will follow. Boothferry (talk) 13:06, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the problem with missing criteria is twofold.
1- Commemorative awards (medals & badges) also get a ministerial order like any other award, but unfortunately, these are quite difficult to locate because they are not usually published on the official ministerial web sites. This often means dozens (or more) of hours searching through legal web sites written in Russian. Even Russian phalerists don't have the ministerial orders we're missing here. I've been at it for over 5 years, what I know is in this article.
2- Many ministerial orders, for some reason or another, are not legally registered. This means only ministerial personnel with access to these records at the source would be able to get us the missing data, not that obvious. Some have not been registered for security reasons, but very few. The translations my colleague (above) mentions will not be of any help, they are part of the references I initially entered when I created the article, they had already been researched.
