Bash Street School[edit]

Fozzledyke is the old Head Teacher who specialises in Caneing. And once the Bash Street Super Kids appered. (unsigned)

I don't know what this is doing on the Minnie the Minx page, but the Bash Street Superkids was a one-off stand-alone story in a Beano Annual, and turned out to be a dream of Danny's. Digifiend (talk) 14:04, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comics Britannia reference?[edit]

Baxendale imagined Minnie with the ferocity and strength of an Amazon warrior - naturally, she is tougher than most boys. That was mentioned (by Baxendale) on Comics Britannia, maybe somebody could add that as a source. Digifiend (talk) 13:33, 23 July 2008 (UTC) hi[reply]

George Moonie was "the basis for Minnie the Minx’s slipper-wielding father"[edit]

"The Beano’s mortarboard and gown-wearing master was modelled on George Moonie, the comic’s founding editor. Leo Baxendale, the cartoonist who created the character, has revealed that Moonie not only inspired Teacher but was also the basis for Minnie the Minx’s slipper-wielding father."
