the site linked as "official site" is down and goes to a placeholder page right now. i don't know if it's a transient error or the site is gone. Rmd1023 (talk) 21:14, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved material due to blacklist[edit]

I'm moving the following material here from the article because it is sourced to The Examiner, which is on the spam filter blacklist, and cannot be saved. I've asked at the spam whitelist if that url can be taken off the blacklist. Nightscream (talk) 06:56, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life[edit]

Miracle Laurie and her two sisters were born to parents she describes as "hippies", her name deriving from her father's prior doubt that he could have children. Laurie started hula dancing at three, piano lessons at five and local theater by seven, her interest in Polynesian culture, dance and music stemming from the influence of her mother, who is Filipino and Scottish. She eventually became a lead dancer on the TV show Fantasy Island, later becoming the vocalist in her performing group, though she dreamed of being an actress since age five. In her teens she became a model and appeared on the cover of Teen Magazine. She received her B.A. in drama from University of California, Irvine.[1]
