Yes, merge. Same topic. Fg2 22:53, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, Misawa Air Base and Misawa AB same article.. lots of additional data. McA 05:25, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that the article Misawa AB seems to be same as this page, except for the last sentence... 61.213.114.211 14:06, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's possible that both come from a US Government source. Can anyone find a source of both? Fg2 20:34, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-The source of what, exactly?McA 21:55, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The source of the article Misawa AB and this page. As I said, it's possible that they come from a common US Government source. If this page is original, then quoting it may be a copyright violation, but if it's from a US Government source, in the public domain, then it (or the US Government source) is quotable. Proposed merger of Misawa Air Base and Misawa Airport[edit]

The following discussion is an archived debate. Please do not modify it.

A merger proposal has been added to these articles. I'd favor separate articles. The article on the base presents it as a sizable American enclave, and enclaves are different from the surrounding community. The article discusses aviation, and also the American community. On the other hand, the airport, while sharing facilities with the base, serves the Japanese community (and incidentally the Americans too). It's an integral part of the surrounding community. So I'd favor a separate article for it. Fg2 (talk) 12:05, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose merge. As someone who used to be stationed at Misawa, it needs two articles. The fact that the airport shares facilities (and a main road intersects with the airport's taxiway) is an interesting anecdote regarding the base that should be included in the Misawa article, but that is not sufficient to warrant merging both into one. Moreover, most airports usually get their own article. Aomori Airport has its own article, and no one has suggested merging it with Aomori (city).Dcmacnut (talk) 00:28, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Restore some lost content[edit]

There's a former featured image, and other good stuff in the history (from a couple of years ago) that's been removed and could be put back in. Widefox; talk 10:32, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Listed in the NSA documents. Why? What’s going on there?[edit]

Shows “Misawa” under “Partner it All”.

This article needs some information as to what’s going on at Misawa Air Base specifically. (It may be obvious to some, but it needs to be written down.)

Marine Corps there too[edit]

Company E Marine Support Battalion has been on Security Hill at Misawa for decades. I think there are some Marine aviation people there now too. 2600:8805:5800:F500:A1EF:FB54:719:908F (talk) 00:37, 28 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Climate section needs attention[edit]

The record low for August is shown as higher than the average low. That should be impossible.

What's more, the source data isn't easily available on the source link, so I couldnt verify what the actual record low for August should be.

Someone should find a new source for the climate dataset and fix the inconsistency. I wish I had time to do it myself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.151.142.224 (talk) 10:03, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
