recent news doubtful[edit]

I see recent news about "textortion". I doubt it could be true since that isn't even a word. That spanks of "story made by a liar" right up front. It's likely a media blitz. in the article I see more advertising from Microsoft:

Robert Siciliano, a McAfee online security expert, told ABC News preventing cyber crime should begin with making sure Internet users have the most up-to-date antivirus software, browser and operating system.

“It’s through your browser -- that is often how your PC gets infected,” he said. “I usually recommend people use Chrome since it automatically updates.”

Yet it's been in the news that CA McAfee have had a revolving door with the government and have been caught releasing viruses and doing "heavy marketing".

That aside: it's well known that the government, police, and hackers have all badly hacked web browsers so they can spy. It's "good software" however the idea you can sit infront of a camera and they can't get to it? Forget it. They can. They made sure it was broken in that way. SO DID foreigners from other countries (yup - their "additions" go nearly unchecked).

Saying "update frequently" is an absolute lie and they know it. We've heard that lie since 1980's. Anthony Wierner (Mayor hopeful) was fully updated: and exthorted publicly. And updating often causes need of hardware purchases, classicly.

If it were real the news wouldn't advertise it because if she's a teen seeking anonymity from lewd and lecivious libel they are the ones exthorting her am i right ?

anyway. we are stock full of CA teens flooding our internet with text. thank you. we couldn't notice if it were true we are so flooded. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sven nestle2 (talkcontribs) 03:14, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

¿Fancruft?[edit]

@Jjj1238: Why exactly the classifications are fancruft?, those are objective statistics. On reflex the number of classification, that is all. Thanks. --Mauriziok (talk) 15:31, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs to be edited back[edit]

Prior to the election, in violation of journalistic integrity, somebody wiped this page of all references to Donald Trump, who was a major character in the Miss Teen USA story. Now that the election is over, this page needs to be unedited back to is original state. Sleepspace (talk) 23:51, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Could you be more specific? Because this article has had a similar content for the last 6 years. (CC) Tbhotch 01:56, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok well I do remember Trump being the main character of the pageant, it was all very public at the time, but this page doesn't mention him at all Sleepspace (talk) 20:33, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Probably you are confusing it with either Miss Universe or Miss USA. Of course, Teen USA lacks the historical background and is practically a list of winners, but unless someone wants to add that information, it most likely will remain like this. (CC) Tbhotch 21:13, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misspelled name[edit]

First miss Teen USA was Peggy Collings of Lake Charles. Lousgal (talk) 02:36, 16 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
