Catskills Location or Not?[edit]

It is stated that the resort is just beyond the Southern edge of the Catskills. Is that from a New York City-centric perspective, so it is in the Catskills? Or is that from a Catskills perspective, so it is not in the Catskills? I just wonder if this is one of those Catskills resorts that are famous as a group, where so many comedians worked over the years, etc. This should be clarified. doncram 16:51, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The resort is located south of the Catskills in New Paltz, NY. This is absolutly not a resort where comidians could work as was the norm at many of the old style Catskill resorts from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Mohonk is actually anything but that as it is known for its beauty and quiet solitude. The rooms can range in price from $400 to $800 per night and attracts guests that are looking for peace and quiet as they experience the beauty of the mountains, lake and cliffs surrounding the hotel.72.75.148.38 03:35, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know how much it costs to enter the grounds at Mohonk. Just want to hike some of it but can't find out information. Thanks. Interesting note[edit]

I discovered that there has been an unbroken, 144 year-old, record of temperature recordings at Mohonk Preserve [1]. Brian Pearson (talk) 00:55, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced timeline[edit]

There was a long, unexplained, unreferenced timeline sort of section at the bottom of the article. Since it was unexplained, unreferenced, and of uncertain relevance, I'm moving it to a /subpage here. It can be accessed if anyone wants to see if any portion(s) of the information is accurate, citable, and relevant to insert into the "History" section of the article, as cited full-sentence text rather than uncited bullet points or phrases. Ecological impact and notovirus[edit]

Please stop attempting to introduce original research/thoughts and biased thiughts into the article. Your various anon IPs have been warned previously. Your list does not show how ecology was impacted and is just a development list. As for the illness episode, it was a single episode which is represented in the article sufficiently. You are clearly biased and are unable to maintain an objective view.--☾Loriendrew☽ (talk) 18:05, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
