Veracity[edit]

Age[edit]

He appears to be 40. This is from the next Newsweek edition, via LexisNexis:

Wealth[edit]

The information about $1.6 billion personal wealth in the UK is sourced from a prominent newspaper (The Guardian). However, Hansard reports the responsible minister as giving $1.6 billion as the total of all Iranian assets frozen under the sanctions regime. I am wondering if the attribution of this entire amount to Mojtaba Khamenei as personal wealth may be wrong. Is there any other evidence that he is a billionaire?

None of the press reports I've seen mention any business involvements, and if he'd actually made that sort of money, he'd be unlikely to bank it in the country his old man describes as state enemy number one. POV tag[edit]

@Saff V. talking about a persons role in a particular field/action/line of duty or event is not POV. For example, the article on hitler talks about his role in the NAzi party. This does not mean that there is something wrong with the information. This just means that what he did as the leader of the nazi party was his prominent achievement. Same is the case with this guy. The POV issue with this article is surely in what is not included (which is what I thought @Saff V.: was saying), particularly the allegations that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps controls enormous amounts of money and that that motivates political manoevering.
