Primary Topic[edit]

In fact, most recent news stories about the team I have seen are all about the name change. In any case, the MLS team should still be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC/WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT of "Montreal Impact" for now as a Google search currently shows.[1] Zzyzx11 (talk) 07:04, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree this is the primary topic still, I was going through the articles that link to Montreal Impact and about 25-30% are actually supposed to be going to the original team. I've been going through and disambiguating them all to either Montreal Impact (1992–2011) or Montreal Impact (2012–2020). I had made it a disambiguation page so I could see all the links that went there, but I realize now that I can still see the list while it's a re-direct (I also didn't realize how long it would take to go through and fix that list of links). Montreal Impact (disambiguation) → Montreal Impact – Team changed name over a year ago. There are two notable iterations of the team under this name. The current CF Montreal and the former Montreal Impact (1992–2011). Currently only 15 pages link to this page, so it's a simple enough fix; everything else already links to the correct team RedPatch (talk) 12:40, 27 March 2022 (UTC) — Relisting.
