General Connor[edit]
In the following sentence from the article, was Connor the commanding officer starting in 1862, or was he only instructed not to confront Mormons in 1862. "General Patrick Edward Connor, commanding officer of the federal forces garrisoned at Fort Douglas, Utah beginning in 1862, was explicitly instructed not to confront the Mormons over this or any other issue."
