Updates needed[edit]

Resolved

This article needs to be update to show details for the house's new location. This includes the infobox, coordinates, map, and neighborhood category and template. ---Another Believer (Talk) 14:59, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A belated reply here (to avoid confusion), to something I already fixed in the article at the time: The comment above was based on an incorrect edit by another user. The house that was moved last September was a different Morris Marks House, not the one that is NRHP-listed and is the subject of this article, and I have added clarifying text to the article. SJ Morg (talk) 05:55, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@SJ Morg: Do you think there should be an article about the other house of the same name? ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:00, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No. In my opinion, the 1882 Morris Marks House meets WP:GNG only due to its being listed on the NRHP, and much less has been written about the earlier (1880) one than about the NRHP-listed one. SJ Morg (talk) 07:29, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
SJ Morg, If I'm not mistaken, the 1880 house is now NRHP-listed. Am I understanding correctly? ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:55, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. The situation recently changed, and the Ipoellet updated the description info. on a Commons page for a photo of that house a couple of weeks ago. SJ Morg (talk) 18:15, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
SJ Morg, Great! Do you agree with the disambiguation proposed below? ---Another Believer (Talk) 22:18, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ipoellet: Putting this on your radar as well. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:55, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation?[edit]

Should we have Morris Marks House (1880) and Morris Marks House (1882), or is there another way to disambiguate? ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:58, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Are there substantial sources referring to the 1880 house as the "Morris Marks House"? If it did not meet GNG prior to NRHP listing as SJ Morg suggests, and its NRHP status is the only reason it meets GNG, that seems to suggest that a great deal of weight should be given to the NRHP name (Fried-Durkheimer House) when applying WP:COMMONNAME. — Ipoellet (talk) 03:43, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ipoellet, Ah! I see Fried–Durkheimer House listed at National Register of Historic Places listings in Southwest Portland, Oregon. I don't mind if that's a better way to disambiguate. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:45, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
