Notability[edit]

Not sure what constitutes importance for a music band. I would say since their music has been heard on a television show and their albums are available on Amazon.com, they are similar to bands like Fischerspooner or Over the Rhine.Mazeface 19:15, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Interesting facts" is a terrible section title. But, I don't care enough to make that section more specific nor to delete it's "non-notable" lines. Acwilson9 (talk) 23:54, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Other bands of same name[edit]

Perhaps it should be mentioned that there was a different New York band called "The Mosquitos" in the 80s. They were most notable for having written and recorded "That Was Then This Is Now," which later became a hit for The Monkees. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.173.245.229 (talk) 03:54, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There was also a group called "The Mosquitos" from the 1960s (Bingo, Bango, Bongo, and Irving). SimpsonDG (talk) 01:34, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah! The Mosqitoes from episode 2.12 of Gilligan's Island. They are the reason for my search here. Are they just a fictional band? --85.164.223.223 (talk) 09:59, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update regarding the state of the band[edit]

The band has been disbanded, in light of Chris and Juju’s divorce. An update reflecting this development would be in order. ZaneYatesWallach (talk) 18:38, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
