not the tallest[edit]

Lamlam is not the tallest mountain. That distinction goes to Mauna Kea. The tallness of a mountain is measured from base to peak, and the base of Lamlam is the Pacific Ocean floor, not the deepest part of the Marianas Trench. Oops, the figure the ref uses is not even the part of the trench adjacent to Guam, but the Challenger Deep, which is some distance away. kwami (talk) 20:53, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
