Origin of the Minangkabau: Stelae?[edit]

According to an unsourced legend, the reader is told, Marapi is "the origin" of the Minangkabau. Were they baked as in a kiln? Any detail vouchsafed here would aid the reader. The connection ("accordingly") with upright burial stones (why aren't these stelae?) in the region is obscure: how are upright stele "oriented in the direction of the mountain"? Ijen[edit]

The article does not mention the Ijen Volcanic Complex, of which Marapi is a part. Perhaps this article should be merged with it.ZFT (talk) 04:04, 4 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
