Image:Mount Saint Charles Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Unsourced sentence about Alan Tenreiro

Hello! In the article, there is currently this sentence:

"Tenreiro was recently named National Principal of the Year for his role in transforming Cumberland High School into one of the most successful high schools in the state."

I'm a bit concerned about the use of "recently" and the lack of sourcing, however, I was able to find something on it here: NASSP's 2016 National Principal of the Year[1]. This article came up on my new to Wikipedia copyediting introduction, and I'm not too sure how to add it to the article. Athletics section “ice hocky program” ranking claim

There is a comment in the Athletics section’s ice hocky program that a citation is needed for the claim that the school’s ice hocky program “…is considered to be one of the best in the United States.”  In searching for a source for the claim I discovered the website MYHockeyrankings.com which uses data from Gamesheeting.com and it appears to be an authoritative source.  Mount Saint Charles Academy is ranked 520 of 2,138 teams, the top 24%. That does not seem to warrant a “one of the best in the United States” claim but in any case it should be more specific.  I suggest rewriting the sentence to be specific including a citation for the source of the data.  For example, “The school is perhaps best known for its ice hockey program, which was in the top 24% of teams in the United States as ranked by MyHockeyRankings.” [include citation referencing the website mentioned above].

That sounds far less promotional (and definitely the best way to proceed while keeping the information regarding their ice hockey program in the article). No problem. Since I'm here anyways, I think the most specific you could be would be focusing on the achievements of the team. So rather than saying it's one of the best hockey schools in the USA, a more neutral way of phrasing that would be to say the school has won 45 state championships in men's hockey. i.e. The current phrasing which I agree with. This makes it easier for a reader to understand why the team is or isn't considered good. Chess (talk) (please mention me on reply) 05:42, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
