Restructure

I have done a major restructure. All previous content has been kept, except the references to the previous faculty structure. Also I have moved most of the content from the intro to the appropriate section. --Chewy m (talk) 13:33, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Asian caravan

Probably needs an addition about the asian caravan I reckon Biliskner 20:59, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

Done (by someone who got here before me). Brian Jason Drake 03:15, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Student Demographics

"Total population of Murdoch University as of 2005 is 13,492." [1]

Sure it is. I can't see how they got that figure from the provided reference, and I'm sure that the total population of the university underwent many changes during 2005. Brian Jason Drake 04:14, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Murdoch College - 8 learning areas?

"It offers a full complement of Year 7-12 subjects across the 8 learning areas." [2]

What 8 learning areas? Brian Jason Drake 07:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

The 8 Learning Areas under Outcomes Based Education are The Arts, Mathematics, Science, English, Languages Other Than English (LOTE), Physical Education/Health, Technology and Society/Environment 58.7.141.44 (talk) 13:18, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Library

The library section needs to be looked at - everything's (well, not quite everything, but still a lot) changed with the Learning Common. Brian Jason Drake 14:18, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

i agree when the new library is finished some cool photos and information and even a map would be a great addition (Nickcirc 04:21, 30 March 2007 (UTC))

Chinese garden

The "interesting places" section really needs a section on the Chinese garden if it's going to be mentioned in the introduction. Brian Jason Drake 05:07, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Motto

I have removed the statement that the motto is "seek wisdom". This is UWA's motto. The reference link [3] was referring to the motto when Walter Murdoch was at UWA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chewy m (talkcontribs) 15:55, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Rockingham Regional Campus Community Library

Is this really worth keeping in this article. doesn't deserve more than a 1 sentence mention, in my opinion. Michellecrisp (talk) 08:12, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

2007 Guild President Controversy

This is the second time that 134.115.228.188 has removed the section relating to the 2007 Guild President. Why? It seems perfectly fine to me. All accurate, all factual, all referenced with citations. The only thing I can think of is that whoever 134.115.228.188 is, they have something personal in this section. If this is so, they should be blocked for removing valid content for personal reasons if they try it again. If they are unhappy with this section, I would encourage them to add their views written and referenced in the usual wikipedia way. --203.59.112.253 14:49, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Referenced with what? Judging from the URLs, the answers is "blogs." I don't think those are counted as reliable sources. Is it encyclopedic? Is it unique to this Guild President? Will it be considered significant in 100 year's time, or even 5 year's time? Brian Jason Drake 10:08, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
134.115.* are murdoch uni IP's. Dont block them, as they are almost certainly either dynamic or public facing. Duck Monster
Murdoch Uni IPs are by and large all Static IPs internally mapped to specific network ports... very few areas on any of their campuses run on DHCP, notably Level 2 Chancellery. 59.191.225.49 (talk) 03:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

I have deleted it... what has it got to do with Murdoch University? This isn't a bantering board for peoples opinions! tim 16:04, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm going to remove it. I'm one of his biggest critics, in fact I think he's a right wing dick for the metior incident. But every president in every student org on the planet has enemys. But calling him out on the public record as if its anything unusual is frankly a little cruel. I can't think of a single guild pres in my 14 years of association with Murdoch U that didn't have political enemies. Why single him out? Keep the petty POV hackery off wikipedia Duck Monster 01:17, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

And it's not restricted to Students... heck, I can't think of a single member of Murdoch management (either general or academic) who doesn't belong to some kind of political faction engaging in small, petty-minded crap. Shame, really... 59.191.225.49 (talk) 03:15, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
