Subtle linking[edit]

I am well aware of the usefulness of redlinks in some situations, but I have removed the overlinked "crashed" one from this article because it will be confusing even when/if it turns blue. The subtlety will be lost on many readers, imo, who will think "well, I know what a crash is & so can't be bothered clicking on that link". I suggest that if an article does appear then it is linked using the {{main article}} template at the head of the relevant section. Alternatively, someone finds a better way to phrase it so that an in-text link is more obviously intended to direct the reader to a more detailed article.

Right now, I rather think that any such article would be yet another Pakistan-related POV fork but of course that might change. -— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sitush (talkcontribs) 18:35, 12 March 2012

And why do you think such article would be Pakistan-related POV fork? --SMS Talk 19:25, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Read WP:REDLINK the incident was notable regardless of your personal feelings about what the article will become and removing the redlink was a counter productive effort. I'll revert it back in soon. --lTopGunl (talk) 09:38, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, you also need to see WP:WIKILINK, though it is more useful to add wikilink to a relevant text, wikilink to crash will not be linked to crash article rather to the incident article which is more relevant. That's how it goes all over wikipedia. I've given it some more context as well. --lTopGunl (talk) 13:26, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
