Speculations[edit]

I removed the wholly uncited original research Interpretations section after a brief google search. Google found one Circus magazine interview from 1978 December and Google Scholar found, inside a basic musicology course text, Helmut Rösing's chapter discussing the song: Musikwissenschaft. Ein Grundkurs, 1998, see pages 8 and 9 under the section Exotische Zutat (translation: exotic ingredient). My inexpert cropped translation: The song begins with an imitated Muezzin's call to prayer before continuing in a familiar pop-rock style. The theme song suggests Arabic-Islamic singing. But the musical approach is one of exotic exaggeration... I used the interview as cite for "Hebrew rocker", although I've no idea what that means. Helmut Rösing's discussion looks reliable enough to source claims that the song lyrics imitate Islamic singing, but I leave that to other editors. -84user (talk) 11:34, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
